Cloudy Water Linked To Calcium Additive
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Some people in Boulder noticed their water was cloudy and appeared dirty to some on Monday night.
Turns out, the City of Boulder was moving water between two tanks which stirred up some calcium additive used to adjust PH levels. The calcium can collect at the bottom of tanks.
Crews worked overnight to flush the system twice so people had clearer water on Tuesday morning.
"We were asking people not to drink it as a precaution but it did meet all of our water quality standards," said City of Boulder spokesman Ben Irwin.
Anyone who still has cloudy water should let it run for a while and officials say it should clear up.
