Man Struck By 2 Vehicles, Tried To Carjack Another
DENVER (CBS4)- Police continue to investigate a bizarre series of events after a man was struck by two vehicles and then tried to carjack another.
The incidents happened on 6th Avenue about noon on Friday. The man was struck by two vehicles and then fell from another vehicle he was trying to steal.
Police say the man was first struck by a pickup puling a horse trailer. He jumped over the median and then was struck again by a vehicle heading westbound.
While traffic was stopped, one driver told police the man tried to take his vehicle.
"He ran directly up to my truck, tried getting into my driver's side door... at that point he said, 'Get out of the truck,'" said the Tyson Shimonek. "I turned over and tried to pull over and that's where the gentleman fell off the bed of the truck and was lying in the middle of the road."
Police said the man was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center with injuries. It is unclear whether he will face any charges.
