Typhoon Rolls Moon Through China
FUZHOU, China (CBS4) - When Typhoon Meranti struck China, it brought with it a huge surprise: the moon.
Winds from the typhoon blew the inflatable moon balloon loose, rolling it through the southeast China's Fujian Province.
Amateur video caught by motorists and passersby show the celestial body rolling across a construction site, through an intersection, and toward vehicles and pedestrians.
Locals called it the "furious moon," saying it spiced up their Mid-Autumn Festival.
According to tradition, during the festival, Chinese people enjoy family reunions and admire the moon and eat mooncakes to celebrate.
Because of Typhoon Meranti, though, some people in China wouldn't be able to see the moon, which led some cities to set up the inflatable moons.
