McNichols Building Reopens After Makeover
DENVER (CBS4)- Denver's historic McNichols Building reopened Thursday after a year of renovations.
The McNichols Building is typically used for special events and meetings.
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock was on hand to celebrate the opening of the building in Civic Center Park in the morning.
Crews have made several upgrades to the space including a new front courtyard.
"We are thrilled to share the culmination of a renovation project that honors the historic character of the building, allows us to address the needs of the use today and enhances its beauty with contemporary elements," Denver Cultural Affairs Director Tariana Navas-Nieves said.
A grand reopening ceremony was scheduled to take place Thursday night.
