Boy Who Shot Himself Took Gun From Master Bedroom
OAK CREEK, Colo. (CBS4) - The 3-year-old boy who shot and killed himself near Steamboat Springs got the gun from his parent's master bedroom.
Gavin Stiles, the son of a Steamboat Springs police officer, found his father's gun when his mother was on a different floor of the home and his father was outside.
The tragedy happened in July at the family's home in Oak Creek, not far from Steamboat Springs.
The father was placed on unpaid leave during the investigation.
The grand jury cleared both parents in the case. s
