Back to the 70s Thursday With Little Chance for Storms

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Wednesday turned out to be a sunny and warmer day as we reached 84 degrees officially at the airport and 82 degrees downtown. We did see storms develop around the state again on Wednesday with some prompting Severe Storm Warnings. Some storms produced nearly 2" hail. The storms just seemed to bypass Denver, although one did form right near the airport. Thursday should turn just a bit cooler with a high back in the mid 70s and only a slight chance for an isolated storm. Look for scattered storms on Saturday with a high in the lower 70s.

The weekend will arrive with scattered storms on Saturday and a high in the mid 70s. Warmer and drier air returns by Sunday, so expect mostly sunny skies with a high getting into the lower 80s. Then little change as we start next week: Mostly sunny with a high in the mid 80s for Monday.
