DENVER (CBS4) – At least two Broncos players were fined after their hits on Cam Newton this weekend.
Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network tweeted out the details, which were retweeted by the NFL.
Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall received more than a $24,000 fine, reports Rapoport, and safety Darian Stewart more than $18,000, for their hits on the Panthers quarterback.
Following the game against the Panthers, some were calling the players dirty.
Stewart joined CBS4’s Michael Spencer and CBS4 Broncos analyst Mark Schlereth on Xfinity Monday Live.
“We’re going to still just be us and keep being aggressive,” said Stewart. “I don’t think we should change anythign that we’ve been doing. That’s what made us world champs.”
The Broncos beat the Panthers, 21-20, on Sunday. They play the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday at 2:25 p.m. The game will be broadcast on CBS4.
