Weekend Closures Will Slow Traffic In Metro Area & Summit County

Ramp Closure, WB I-70 to SB I-225

The ramp from westbound Interstate 70 to southbound Interstate 225 closes from 10 p.m. Friday, September 9th until 5 a.m. Monday, September 12th.

Crews will be putting in three modular joins and filling other joints with Polyester Concrete. The Colorado Department of Transportation recommends using Airport Road to East 6th Avenue as an alternate.
When the ramp reopens Monday, expect single lane, shoulder and ramp closures through the evening Friday, September 16th.

Ramp Closure, WB Auraria Pkwy to SB I-25 & Colfax Ave

The ramp from westbound Auraria Parkway to southbound Interstate 25 and West Colfax Avenue closes 8:30 p.m. Friday, September 9th until 5:30 a.m. Monday, September 12th.

Crews are removing and replacing a modular expansion device.
To access southbound I-25 from Auraria Pkwy. Cars will need to turn left onto 7th Street from Auraria Pkwy and then right on W. Colfax Ave.

EB Alameda Closure, Santa Fe to Cherokee

Eastbound Alameda Avenue closes from Santa Fe Drive to Cherokee Street at 9 p.m. Friday, September 9th until Monday, September 12th at 5 a.m. Crews will be installing a water pipe.

The detour is Santa Fe Dr. north to Bayaud Avenue, east to Cherokee St. and then south back to Alameda Ave.

Delays on U.S. 6 near Keystone/Dillon

U.S. 6 and adjacent roadways in the Keystone and Dillon areas will see significant delays Saturday, September 10th due to a triathlon.

Commercial vehicles will be required to use Interstate 70 through the Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnel from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. All drivers should expect closures at the top of each hour Saturday through the EJMT to accommodate commercial vehicles carrying hazardous materials.

Street Closures for Colorado Remembers 9/11 event at Civic Center Park

14th Avenue will be closed from Broadway to Cherokee Street through the weekend for the Colorado Remembers 9/11 event. Bannock Street will also be closed from 13th to Colfax Avenue as well as Broadway from Colfax Avenue to 13th Street. That closure will be Sunday, September 11th from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.
