Young Students Kick Off NFL Season With Karl Mecklenburg, Broncos Cheerleaders
ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - Some Colorado elementary school students got to help kick off the NFL season Wednesday morning.
"American Idol" winner Jordan Sparks joined former Denver Broncos great Karl Mecklenburg and members of the Broncos cheerleaders at Allendale Elementary in Arvada.
The event also kicked off this year's Hometown Grants for Fuel Up program. School districts are awarded with equipment and resources to improve physical activity and nutrition programs for students.
