Alpine Slide Dismantled By Helicopter Crews

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) – A landmark in Golden is gone.

YouReporter David Brenowitz captured video on Monday of helicopter crews taking down the alpine slide at Heritage Square.

The slide debuted at the amusement park in 1979. It closed last October, but it wasn’t until this week that the slide was removed from the hillside.

This is bad reporting as the slide was owned by a different company than the one that owns the amusement park. The amusement park at Heritage Square is still open http://www.heritageamusementpark.com/ and there are not just some smaller rides still open.
