Smoke Plumes Into The Sky As Fire Destroys Home

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- Thick, black smoke rose from a house fire in Fort Collins Thursday morning.

Firefighters rushed to the home at 1504 Trilby Road which was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. The one-story home was unoccupied at the time.

One firefighter suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital. The nature and severity of the injury was unknown.

No one was home at the time of the fire.

Firefighters from Loveland Fire Rescue Authority assisted fire crews from Poudre Fire Authority.

The origin of the fire is unknown.
