ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – An employee went beyond the call of duty when he helped catch and relocate a bull snake at the Adams County Government Center parking lot this summer.

Several others saw the snake, affectionately named “Jake” by the employees there. Jake got too close to the employee entrance and had to be moved.

Rich Barnett helped the facilities crew capture the snake and set him free in a field away from the building.

The county videographer, Aman Chabra, grabbed his phone and recorded the encounter.
