Lauvergne appeared in 83 games for the Nuggets including 16 starts, averaging 6.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 15.8 minutes per game. He was acquired in a draft-night trade in 2013 with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who selected the France native with the 55th overall pick. Lauvergne made his NBA debut late in the 2014-15 season.

Denver will receive two second-round picks in the 2017 NBA Draft: Oklahoma City's own selection and one acquired from Memphis in a previous trade.
