No Severe Storms On Tuesday, But a Few With Heavy Rain

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - No repeat of the heavy, hail-laden storms we saw on Monday. Just your garden variety late summer storms popped up just here and there. A few had heavy rains and as a result a Flash Flood Watch was posted for Cheyenne County into the early evening. Denver's high reached 82 degrees officially at the airport - 83 downtown. Then around 5pm a whole new batch of heavy storms produced hail and flooding rains in the greater metro area! Tomorrow, Wednesday, could be more of the same: chance for a late isolated storms, otherwise partly cloudy with a high back in the lower 80s. Then little change in the forecast for Thursday - back to the low 80s. Friday could see a little better chance for storms with a high into the seasonal mid 80s.

Looking ahead to a fine weekend: Partly sunny and seasonal with a chance for only an isolated late storm and highs in the mid to upper 80s for both Saturday and Sunday.
