Magnitude 6.8 Quake Hits Myanmar
YANGON, Myanmar (CBS4) - A powerful earthquake struck the southeast Asian country Wednesday.
The United States Geological Survey in Golden, Colorado registered the quake at 6.8, saying it was centered about 15 miles west of the town of Chauk.
There is no word yet on casualties, but the Associated Press reports hundreds of ancient Buddhist pagodas in the area have been damaged.
