Police Need Help Finding Attempted Sex Assault Suspect

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Fort Collins hope someone has information about a man wanted for attempted sexual assault.

About 2:25 a.m., a woman was leaving the Old Town area in Fort Collins on Remington Street when a Hispanic male started walking with her.

After briefly making conversation, the male began getting too close to the victim for her comfort. The victim ran away but the man caught up to her and tried to sexually assault her.

She was able to fight him off and ran to safety before calling police.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with dark, wavy hair, estimated to be in his 20s, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot with an average build.

The victim said the suspect spoke in accented English but also conversed with the victim in Spanish.
