Melted Drone Found Near South Table Mountain Fire
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A wildfire on South Table Mountain in Jefferson County is now fully extinguished.
Firefighters said it was sparked by lightning, and was quickly contained upon igniting Tuesday night. Crews returned Thursday to finish the job.
At the edge of the fire line, West Metro Fire found a melted drone. They say flying drones near fires is dangerous because it can slow down firefighting efforts. The owner has not been identified.
