Owner Of Home Hit By Bulldozer Planned To Sell Soon

By Andrea Flores

GREEN VALLEY RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) - A dining table and chandelier remained untouched after a bulldozer plowed through a Green Valley Ranch home Friday afternoon.

"It was like slow motion, and it just kept on going," said Emma Sanchez. "I was like,
'Stop, stop, stop.'"

But it didn't.

Instead, Sanchez says, she watched the bulldozer, from a construction site across the street, hit her neighbor's house head on.

"We live two doors down and it shook the whole house," Sanchez said.

Pictures show how far the bulldozer made it inside, destroying everything in its path. Luis Ramos lives across the street and was leaving for work when he watched the scene unfold.

"It was a pretty massive sound," said Ramls. "My hand was literally on the front door, so I felt the rumble right as I was opening the front door."

The owner, who is living in California, spoke to CBS4 over the phone. He says the renter, staying there for the summer, was also out of town.

While no one was hurt, Ramos says he knows it could have been much worse.

"All I could think of is we have eight children during the day that we take care of and all it would have taken was a slight turn toward our house and it would have been through the front door," Ramos said.

The construction worker driving the bulldozer was treated for minor injuries, according to a spokesperson for the Denver Fire Department.

Residents were told the driver had some sort of medical episode and may have suffered a seizure.
