Bicycle Bank Robbery Suspect Identified, Still On The Run

DENVER (CBS4)- Investigators in Denver have identified a bank robbery suspect who uses a bicycle as a getaway. Shawn William Scott remains on the run.

Police believe he may be frequenting downtown Denver, the Auraria Campus as well as the Speer Boulevard Corridor.

Scott is wanted in four bank robberies since May.

On May 24, police say Scott, 39, hit the US Bank at 1248 South Broadway. He walked in with a note demanding money and after getting cash he ran outside and got on his bicycle and couldn't be found.

Police say Scott struck again, robbing two banks in the Highlands neighborhood-- the KeyBank off Speer Boulevard and Zuni Street on June 14, and then the US Bank on 38th Avenue and Julian Street June 20.

In his most recent bank robbery, police believe Scott wore a wig. He has tattoos on both sides of his neck, "Sara" on the right side and "Jamie" on the left side. He also has a visible tattoo on the back of his neck, and "SCOTT" tattooed on his upper back.
