Beaver Creek Fire Grows To 9,114 Acres
WALDEN, Colo. (CBS4)- The Beaver Creek Fire has had significant growth over the past 24 hours with current estimates at 9,114 acres. The fire is only five percent contained.
The west and south sides of the fire have had the most growth. There are about 60 cabins threatened by the wildfire burning near the Colorado-Wyoming border.

Firefighters from Denver Fire Department are assisting with the fire fight.
Crews have also been warned about the additional dangers posed by pine beetle kill in the fire lines. What sparked the fire on June 19 remains under investigation.
There are nearly 500 firefighters battling the blaze.
