Long-Term Lane Closures Go Into Effect On Federal, Alameda

By Joel Hillan

DENVER (CBS4) - Federal Boulevard is down to just one lane in either direction between 67th and 70th Avenues.

This configuration will be in place for the next five months as crews work on the structurally deficient bridge at 69th Avenue.

The Colorado Department of Transportation recommends taking 64th Ave. to Pecos Street to 72nd Ave. to return to Federal Blvd. Again these lane restrictions will be in place for the next five months.

Also, the lane to turn left from westbound Alameda Avenue to southbound Santa Fe Drive will close Sunday, June 19th at 9 p.m. and remain closed through August for continued work.

During the closure you can access southbound Santa Fe Dr. by going north on Santa Fe Dr. to Byers Place west to Kalamath Street.
