Fawn Gets Into Evergreen Home, Ends Up In Bathtub
EVERGREEN, Colo. (CBS4) - A fawn was rescued after winding up in a bathtub of a home in Evergreen.
Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to the homeowners' call when the baby deer got inside late Tuesday night. According to the sheriff's office, the homeowner had freed the fawn after it got caught in some fencing. Instead of returning to nature it ran into the man's home through and open door and into the bathroom.
The man told authorities he placed the fawn in the tub and called for help.
"You never know if what you're hearing is 100 percent accurate or not, so we didn't initially understand if it was going to be a very small fawn or if it was going to be something quite a bit larger and we're going to have a bit of a fight ahead of us to try to get it out of the house," Deputy Skylar Steele said.
The fawn was not hurt in the incident, but no mother deer was seen near the home. It was released and hopefully found its mother.
