Flag Raised On Genesee Mountain For Flag Day
GENESEE MOUNTAIN, Colo. (CBS4) - The Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution celebrated Flag Day on Tuesday.
The nonprofits have been raising a flag on top of Genesee Mountain for the last 105 years. Organizers say Americans should reflect on what it means to be an American when they see the flag.
"The flag should reflect the unity of Americans. This is a flag that flies for all Americans. It is inclusive of all Americans. We should respect Americans as individuals under this one flag," Julia Patterson with the organization said.
The SAR and some veterans dressed up in American Revolution clothing and costumes.
