Storm Causes Flooding At Red Rocks, Delays Start Of Steely Dan Show

DENVER (CBS4) - Summer concertgoers who traveled to Red Rocks on Monday night to see classic rockers Steely Dan had to deal with hail and some flooding.

A storm forced people at the outdoor amphitheater to take cover, and it delayed the start of the show.

The venue asked that people go into their cars if they hadn't made it into the venue yet.

For those already in the venue, they asked them to take shelter indoors.

Steve Winwood opened for Steely Dan and had to wait to take the stage until after 7:30 p.m.

The storms on Monday caused some minor street flooding in Denver. They also brought some hail as large as golf balls in some areas of Colorado's Eastern Plains.

Two years ago many people left a Steely Dan show at Red Rocks when persistent rain soaked the crowd for hours.
