Owner Of Copper Mountain Acquires Eldora Mountain Resort
DENVER (CBS4) - The owner of Copper Mountain has added to its presence in Colorado with the purchase of Eldora Mountain Resort. Powdr is an adventure lifestyle company and ski operator headquartered in Park City, Utah.
"Colorado's front range is one of the best ski markets in the world. Expanding our footprint here with now two of the most accessible resorts to serve those passionate skiers is an enormous honor," said the company's CEO and owner, John Cumming, in a statement.
The previous owner of Eldora, William Killebrew, has known Cumming for almost 30 years. Killebrew said, "He has built a great adventure company and has the reputation as an outstanding operator. When we decided to consider selling Eldora, we wanted to put our resort in the best hands possible and Powdr was the first company that came to mind."
Eldora's General Manager, Brent Tregaskis, will continue to run operations.
There is no expected change in pricing for Eldora's Super Value Season Pass for the upcoming 2016-2017 season.
