The peace memorial will start 6 p.m. Monday to honor 10-year-old Anthony "Jemel" Hemmings-Taylor. People will gather at the City of Aurora MLK Library which is located at 9898 East Colfax Avenue. Following the vigil there will be a march to the area East 16th Avenue and North Galena Street in Aurora. The child's grandfather, Anthony Taylor Sr., says he doesn't want any other family to go through a tragedy like this.

"The grieving process is really hard," he said. "That's my baby and now we have to go bury him at only 10 years old. He didn't even have a chance to get started in life."

Some family members were being interviewed by police afterwards but no arrests have been made. Police won't comment on an update to this case. They will only say the investigation is ongoing. No arrests or charges have been filed.
