Police Arrest 1, Search For 2 Suspects In Marijuana Dispensary Burglary
DENVER (CBS4)- Police continued to search for two suspects who ran from the scene of a getaway car crash after a burglary at a marijuana dispensary.
Officers rushed to the business on Jackson Street, near 40th and Colorado Boulevard, about 4 a.m. just as the getaway car was speeding away.
That car crashed while trying to get onto Interstate 70. One woman was arrested and two men escaped.
SWAT officers searched for the men in a nearby neighborhood but came up empty handed.
"In that moment that it took to tell me what happened to him, I turned around and said, 'Oh, someone broke into my truck.' So I open the door and there's all kinds of fresh blood all over the truck from the front to the middle to the back," resident Kirk Brown.
Witnesses say they saw the suspects trying to break into cars, possibly in an attempt to outrun the police.
