Man Takes Cab To Rob A Bank, Asks Cabbie To Wait

DENVER (CBS4)- The FBI and police across the Denver metro area are searching for a man who took a cab to rob a bank, asked the cabbie to wait for him and then took the cab to Denver International Airport.

The FBI says on Wednesday afternoon the man took a cab from downtown Denver near the Bellco Theater to the Denver Tech Center where he robbed a bank.

The Public Service Credit Union located at 6850 S. Yosemite Street in Centennial was robbed about 2:18 p.m.

The man, described as a white male, late 20s to early 30s, about 6-foot with a thin to medium build, was wearing a black beanie cap, dark gray jacket, black shirt with white letters, dark jeans, medical mask and dark sunglasses. The robber ordered the teller to give him an undisclosed amount of money and showed a small pistol.

The suspect had the cabbie wait for him outside the credit union during the robbery and then had the same cab driver take him to DIA and drop him off.

The FBI does not know whether the man actually boarded a plane.
