Woman Completes Run Across Colorado To Benefit MS Research
DENVER (CBS4) - A Colorado runner ended her 180-mile journey across the state on Sunday.
Kaitlyn Morgan started last week in Steamboat Springs. She ran a marathon a day before ending in Denver's Civic Center Park Sunday morning.
Morgan ran to benefit multiple sclerosis research. She also wanted to honor her father who was diagnosed in 2010.
"I'm doing this because MS has no cure and MS needs a cure … my dad has MS and to see the struggles that he's gone through and other people I know that have MS – the struggles that they go through – it's not fair," Morgan said.
Morgan is part of a 16-person relay team who will cover 3,000 miles across the U.S. The relay ends in August in New York City.
