Family Of 6 Displaced By House Fire In Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - A family of six in Fort Collins needs a new place to stay after a fire tore through their garage Sunday morning.

The flames spread to the attic at the home located at 2709 William Neal Parkway.

Nobody was injured and firefighters rescued two cats from inside the burning home.

Investigators say the fire was started when someone threw hot ashes in a trashcan.

The Red Cross is providing temporary lodging.
