Nuggets Again Have No Luck In NBA Draft Lottery, Land 7th Pick

NEW YORK (CBS4) - The Denver Nuggets have been in the NBA draft lottery 14 times and have never improved their draft standing -- ever.

The Nuggets were hoping to finally move up this year and they had decent odds -- a 21 percent chance of landing a pick in the Top 3. But no such luck. The Nuggets landed the seventh overall pick in Tuesday's draft lottery.

So once again the Nuggets don't move up, but they do have two other picks in the first round with -- the 15th and 19th. They will probably trade at least one of those three picks.

The Philadelphia 76ers had the best chances of landing the top pick and that's exactly what they got.

The draft takes place on June 23.
