Man Charged In Deadly Shooting

DENVER (CBS4)- The Denver District Attorney has formally charged a man accused in a murder and an assault on Osceola Street last month.

Daniel Gutierrez has been charged with first-degree murder and second-degree assault.

The charges allege that on April 22, Gutierrez, 30, shot and killed Jairo Perez, 30, and assaulted another man with a chain in the 200 block of Osceola Street before he was arrested by police.

Gutierrez remains in custody without bond and will appear in Denver District Court later this week to be formally advised of the charges.
