Plan To Revive Presidential Primaries Clears Hurdle At State Capitol
DENVER (CBS4)- A plan to revive the presidential primaries in Colorado has cleared a big hurdle in the state Legislature.
The state House gave preliminary approval late Thursday to a bill that would bring back the presidential primary in Colorado for 2020.
The proposal comes after widespread complaints about the harried presidential caucuses across the state in March.
Lines to get inside the caucuses stretched around the block in most places.
The measure faces one more formal vote before it heads to the state Senate for approval.
