Bennet Campaign Reports More Than $7.6 Million In The Bank
DENVER (AP) - Democratic U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet has a commanding fundraising advantage over his potential Republican rivals with more than $7.6 million in cash for his re-election campaign.
Bennet's campaign reported Monday the senator, who is seeking re-election, raised nearly $1.8 million in the first quarter of 2016.
Five Republicans seek to challenge Bennet.
Former CSU athletic director Jack Graham's campaign reported more than $942,000 in cash. It raised nearly $341,000 plus a $1 million loan by Graham.
Businessman Robert Blaha's campaign reported $670,000 in cash as of March 31 after raising $1.1 million. Blaha donated $1 million of that to his own campaign.
Former state Rep. Jon Keyser had $200,000 in the bank after raising $300,000.
Totals weren't available for El Paso County Commissioner Darryl Glenn and former Aurora city councilman Ryan Frazier.
