Bear Spotted Near School In Lakewood
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- A bear was spotted wandering around a green space near an elementary school in Lakewood on Thursday.
The bear sighting was near Westgate Elementary School. Jefferson County Schools told CBS4 there was a bear and officials had been watching it.
Copter4 flew over the Bear Creek greenbelt but didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials confirm that bears started emerging from hibernation and as of last week, about half of the bears wildlife officials track have come out of their dens.
