Dozens Rally For Equal Pay At State Capitol

DENVER (CBS4)- Dozens of demonstrators gathered at the state Capitol on Tuesday for Equal Pay Day.

Supporters say April 12 marks how far into 2016 women must work to earn what men made in 2015. They say the discrepancy puts women at an unfair advantage to have to work three and a half months more to earn what men earn in a year.

Supporters planned to hand out gold medals to state lawmakers who supported equal pay legislation and red cards to those who have blocked such legislation.
