Deputies Search For Suspect After Man Shot While Driving In Canon City

CANON CITY, Colo. (CBS4) - Deputies in Fremont County are investigating after a man was shot while driving in Canon City on Saturday.

According to the Fremont County Sheriff's Office, a 31-year-old man said he was driving in the northern part of Canon City when he heard a loud "bang."

"One of his vehicle windows was shattered, and the victim realized that he was injured. The victim was able to drive to the hospital to seek medical help," the sheriff's office said in a statement. "Emergency room personnel confirmed that the victim had been shot by a bullet of unknown caliber."

The victim, whose name hasn't been released, was reported to be in stable condition.
