Colorado Records First Tornado Of Season

DENVER (CBS4) - The National Weather Service says a weak landspout tornado touched down three miles north of Greeley at 3:02 p.m. Tuesday.
It's the first tornado of the season documented in Colorado.
No damage was reported and the tornado was only on the ground for a brief period of time.
Landspout tornadoes are common in Colorado and are different than ones produced by a supercell thunderstorm.
They're normally weak and don't last long, but they occasionally cause damage.
Severe weather season in Colorado typically starts in April and ramps up during May and June.
