Paramedics Revive Woman After Crash Caused By Medical Episode
ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A woman is alive thanks to quick action by first responders in Adams County Saturday morning.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the woman was driving south along Washington Street when she had some sort of medical emergency that caused her to pass out. Her car slammed into orange construction barrels, another vehicle, and then veered across the road into oncoming traffic. It came to a stop when she hit a light pole.
Paramedics say the 49-year-old woman, whose name hasn't been released, was dead when they arrived but they were able to revive her.
"She was unresponsive when the paramedics got here and she remained unresponsive until she got to the hospital," Cpl. Heath Griscavage with the State Patrol said. "Right now she is responsive."
She was taken to the hospital where she needed to be revived once more. She is currently unresponsive.
"She's still alive, but as far as her condition is, we do not know at this point," Griscavage.
