Weekend Construction Projects Will Mean 3 Big Closures In Metro Area

By Joel Hillan

DENVER (CBS4) - We have three big closures on Denver area roads this weekend.

Federal Boulevard will close Saturday, April 2nd at 7 p.m. from 67th Avenue to 69th Avenue and remain closed until Sunday, April 3rd at 8 p.m. for bridge girder work. The posted detour will take you from 64th Avenue to Pecos Street to 72nd Avenue before returning you onto Federal Blvd.

In Aurora, Sable Boulevard closes at Exposition Avenue at some point in the evening on Sunday, April 3rd. The intersection is expected to remain closed for several weeks.

Then on Monday, April 4th, northbound I-25 will be closed from Thornton Parkway to 104th Avenue so crews can put in specialized overhead signage as part of the I-25 North Express Lanes Project. The full northbound closure will be from 1 to 3 a.m.
