March Snow Pushes Denver Over Seasonal Norm, April Sometimes Snowy

DENVER (CBS4) - March is known as the snowiest month of the season for Denver and this year did not disappoint.

As of March 30 the city's official weather station at Denver International Airport had measured 18.4 inches of snow for the month.

So far this season, which runs from July 1 through June 30, the city has recorded 57.2 inches of snow.

April can sometimes be a snowy month for Denver and the Front Range of the Rockies. The city recorded 20.4 inches of snow in 2013 making it the 10th snowiest April on record.

The snowiest April was back in 1933 when 33.8 inches fell.
