Wildfire Breaks Out In Western Eagle County In Dry Conditions
GYPSUM, Colo. (CBS4) - Multiple crews in western Eagle County worked quickly to contain a small wildfire that broke out on Saturday next to a golf course.
The fire is located by the Gypsum Creek Golf Course and Cotton Ranch Drive in Gypsum, and there were still some hotspots firefighters were working on Saturday afternoon.
The fire grew to about 1.5 to 2 acres before it was contained. There was no immediate word on the cause.
While Colorado's Front Range was blanketed on Saturday with snow after a winter storm, conditions in Gypsum are dry.
