Former Broncos OL Evan Mathis Signs With Cardinals, Has Unusual Contract Request

DENVER (CBS4) - Former Broncos offensive lineman Evan Mathis has signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals.

The deal is reportedly worth $6 million, according to NFL Network's Albert Breer.

Mathis, 34, joined the Broncos late in the offseason last year after being released by the Philadelphia Eagles and played in every game for Denver, starting in 12.

Mathis apparently wanted an extra $69 added to his $6 million contract to reflect his jersey number.

Mathis is a two-time Pro Bowler.
