Man Arrested After Allegedly Pulling Knife On Wheat Ridge Officers

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Wheat Ridge arrested a man after he allegedly pulled a knife on officers Thursday morning.

According to Maureen Harper with Wheat Ridge Police, officers responded to call about a resident in the 8000 block of West 33rd Avenue "throwing trash on his property, slamming his fence gate and turning on the exterior water at the house."

Officers found the man, identified as Logan McDaniel, 60, near Crown Hill Cemetery located near 29thAvenue and Wadsworth Boulevard.

"When they approached him, McDaniel pulled out a knife. Police officers ordered McDaniel to put down the knife. McDaniel complied and he was taken into custody," Harper said in a statement. "Police officers did not use force and no one was injured."

McDaniel faces charges of felony menacing on police officers.
