Faculty Member Found Dead On CU Anschutz Medical Campus Identified
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- A faculty member who was found dead on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus on Saturday has been identified. Qinghong Zhang, Ph.D. was found deceased in a research building on the Aurora campus.
CU Anschutz Medical Campus Cancellor Don Elliman issued the following statement regarding Zhang's death: "It is with great sadness that I announce the death of one of our faculty members at CU Anschutz, Qinghong Zhang, Ph.D. Dr. Zhang was an associate professor in our Department of Dermatology and was found in the Research 1 South building early on Saturday morning, March 5. The cause of death is under investigation. On behalf of university community, I extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues."
The cause of death remains under investigation. Mental health professionals were at the campus to help those seeking support in the aftermath of Zhang's death.
