CU Faculty Member Accused Of Raping Former Student
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - A faculty member at the University of Colorado in Boulder is on paid leave after being accused of rape.
Jacob Vanderpauye is a drum instructor for African dance classes at CU. Boulder police say he took a former student home from a bar in January and sexually assaulted her.
"She agreed to go home with the suspect because she was too intoxicated to get home safely. Once at the suspect's apartment, she fell asleep and woke up to him having sexual intercourse with her," the police report states.
The victim took an Uber ride home and gave police the suspect's address after getting a receipt from the driver.
