Arapahoe County Deputy Moved Out Of ICU After Crash
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — An Arapahoe County Sheriff's deputy has been moved out of the intensive care 17 days after he was injured in a collision while responding to a fatal stabbing.
Deputy Bill Foreman Jr. faces a long recovery after the Feb. 10 crash. He is stable and has become more alert in the past few days. Foreman has started to engage in short conversations.
Foreman was responding to a report that a 6-year-old boy had been stabbed to death. Authorities say Foreman's patrol car was hit by a turning vehicle.

The sheriff's department had planned to honor Foreman that evening for 25 years on the force.
The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 31 is raising donations to help Foreman's family.
