5 Broncos Headed For Free Agency The Team Could Lose

DENVER (CBS4) - With the NFL's free agency period coming up, the Broncos clearly have a No. 1 priority = Von Miller.

The Broncos will have to franchise tag the Super Bowl 50 MVP and will certainly have to award him a hefty long term deal. But what about the other players on the roster that are due to become free agents?

Broncos radio sideline reporter Andy Lindahl, a guest on the CBS4 Sports show All Access, said there are some tough decisions the Broncos organization has to make, particularly when it comes to the following five players:

C.J. Anderson, running back

Anderson is restricted, so the Broncos can probably put an offer to him that allows them to control what kind of offers they get from other teams.

Brandon Marshall, linebacker

Like Anderson, Marshall is restricted so the Broncos have some control in negotiations with him.

Jackson is a guy the Broncos probably don't want to lose. Did the offer the Broncos gave Derek Wolfe go across Jackson's desk and he decided it wasn't enough for him? He's likely to test free agency. He wasn't drafted in a high position (fifth round in 2012) so he has been playing on a cheap contract over the past few years. He probably wants to cash in and has every right to do so considering the way he played in 2015. He could be the Broncos' biggest loss.

Brock Osweiler, quarterback

The Broncos have got to make a decision about Osweiler somewhat soon. General Manager John Elway probably has a salary figure in mind, and it's smart to plan that way. You can't overpay for this kid. We all love him, and his teammates seem to love him, but you can't go crazy with the cash for Osweiler until you have a bigger sample size of what he can do as a starter.

Danny Trevathan, linebacker

He's out there, too. It's surely going to be tricky for the Super Bowl champs as they plan out all their offseason moves.
