Man Arrested For Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Domestic Partner, Murdering Own Son

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Deputies in Arapahoe County have arrested a man in connection with a sexual assault of a woman and the murder of his son.

According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, Brandon Johnson, 26, is accused of sexually assaulting the mother of his 2-year-old son and murdering his 6-year-old son from another woman.

An autopsy revealed the 6-year-old, whose name hasn't been released, died from a stab wound. Deputies found his body inside an apartment Wednesday morning while responding to a report of a sexual assault.

A woman called police saying her domestic partner assaulted her at knife-point.

"Johnson was placed under arrest while still being treated for what are believed to be self-inflicted knife wounds.

The homicide took place inside the Westwood apartment building in the 7500 block of East Harvard Avenue, which is near the intersection of East Iliff Avenue and South Quebec Street.

An Arapahoe County deputy was critically injured in a crash while responding to the crime scene.
