Family Of 9-Year-Old Fighting Cancer Finds Hope With Broncos' Super Bowl Win

DENVER (CBS4) - More than a million "dabbing" Broncos fans swarmed into downtown Denver to cheer on the World Champions on Tuesday.
"I'm really excited because the Broncos are an amazing team and they represent Denver," Jordan Garcia told CBS4's Tom Mustin.
Hundreds of thousands of orange-clad supporters lined the parade route to welcome their heroes home -- some with politics on their mind.
"We're going to start the Horse Party and we're going to have John Elway as a candidate for president," Robert Milfeld told Mustin.
Orlando Romero spent four hours recreating the Super Bowl trophy against his wife's wishes.
"She said, 'How am I supposed to make hot wings? There's no more foil," Romero said.
Fans came from far and wide to show their Broncos spirit.
"You came from Japan, but you're a Broncos fan?" Mustin asked one woman.
She replied, "Yes, big Broncos fan."
Nine-year-old Delaney Stafford watched the parade from her father's shoulders.
"Celebrating the Broncos victory," she said.
"For Christmas, all she wanted was her room done over in Bronco," said her father, Tom Stafford.
Like the Broncos, Delaney is taking on a tough opponent. In her case, a 2 1/2-year battle with cancer. Her father says the Super Bowl win by the underdog Broncos is giving his family hope.
"We don't know if tomorrow is guaranteed, so I took her out of school. We're having some fun and we're going to create some memories," Tom Stafford said.
And on a sun-drenched day in the Mile High City, a special 9-year-old girl had the final word on a magical season: "The Broncos won the Super Bowl!," said Delaney.
